 | | JOHN CARLSON, Vice President John joined Mark-Taylor Residential in 2002 and is responsible for new business development, financial and operational performance of over 10,000 units. John has a habit of over-delivering on behalf of his clients, resulting in new projects and expanded relationships. Not only can he juggle multiple responsibilities, but he’ll do it with a smile and always makes time to help others. He's a confident leader and earns the respect and admiration of those around him. John's diverse background includes on-site property management, financial and operational management and as a manager with V-Tek, Inc., he designed electronic component solutions and conducted training/set-up programs throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Central America and Africa. His computer know-how also comes in handy for those needing help manipulating spreadsheets. John received his Associates Degree in Electronics from South Central Technical College in 1998 and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2001 from Concordia College. He is a Licensed Real Estate Agent in Arizona and a member of the Arizona Multi-housing Association. |

Linda Coburn, who joined Mark-Taylor in 2009, brings more than 20 years of industry expertise to her responsibilities as asset manager. Experienced in both controlling costs and building revenue, she also counts new lease-ups and distressed assets among her strengths, as well as customer service, retention, and sales and marketing.Coburn comes to Mark-Taylor from Equity Residential, where she served as a field trainer to regional managers, oversaw a national call and leasing center, and most recently, worked as a regional manager, handling a 2,700-unit portfolio. A graduate of Phoenix’s own Trevor Browne High School, Coburn has her associate’s degree from Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and attended California State University in San Bernardino, where she majored in business. |

 | | JAY DASSELE, Asset Manager Jay Dassele began his Mark-Taylor career in 2000, quickly building upon his early success with promotion after promotion. Among his key achievements: handling the complicated task of assisting one of the most publicized sales in the history of apartment management in Arizona; Working closely with brokers and owners to ensure the success of an 18-community portfolio sale that was also one of the most publicized sales in Arizona’s apartment management industry. Now an asset manager, Dassele has the experience and expertise to deliver results for Mark-Taylor clients. His industry recognitions include an Arizona Multihousing Association team achievement award, best community award, and two nominations for Manager of the Year. Dassele is Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) through the Arizona Multihousing Association and a licensed real estate agent in Arizona. |

 | | MICHAEL WILSON, Asset Manager Michael Wilson has been an integral part of the Mark-Taylor team since 2001 bringing success to his teams, owners, and company overall. He has managed challenging property sales and difficult lease-ups alike for new and existing apartment properties. He has worked with onsite associates and investors to establish expectations and achieve outstanding results. Wilson's industry credentials include certifications as a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) and a National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP), as well as his Arizona real estate license. He also received Mark-Taylor’s Residential Team Achievement Award in 2004. Wilson received his bachelor’s from the University of Arkansas, where he double-majored in sociology and criminology, with a minor in business. Wilson also served with the Arkansas Air National Guard for more than six years.

 | | MATT ROGERS, Asset Manager Matt Rogers has grown up, so to speak, in the multifamily industry. During college breaks nearly 10 years ago, he worked on preparing apartments for occupancy, cleaning common areas and assisting maintenance teams. He eventually worked his way into leasing, and then management of large luxury properties. He came to Mark-Taylor as an Executive Analyst, working closely with the executive team examining market trends and data. His joining Mark-Taylor was the culmination of a long-time pursuit – he was always inspired by Mark-Taylor’s stellar reputation and the quality of the people. Since Matt joined the team, it is evident that he is an ideal fit – both in personality and his commitment to excel. As asset manager, he understands the importance of ownership ROI, with experience working on both lease ups and stabilized properties. He continues to analyze market trends and data, evaluating ways to enhance each property’s performance. Matt understands the intricacies of motivating a winning team, both in athletic competition and in the business world. He is the head coach of the sand volleyball team for athletic powerhouse Xavier College Prep and the JV coach of the indoor volleyball program, coaching the teams to state championships. His on-the-court experience translates well to motivating property teams to pursue excellence and total satisfaction when interacting with residents and client owners. Matt has his Arizona real estate license, and is a criminal justice graduate of Arizona State University (where he played volleyball, of course). He also obtained his master’s degree in criminology at ASU. |

  | | JENNIE RAYE BENSON, Executive Assistant
If you’ve called Mark-Taylor’s corporate headquarters, you’ve probably spoken with Jennie Raye Benson. Benson came to Mark-Taylor in 2006 as a receptionist, drawing on her retail management and customer service experience to welcome and help callers and visitors alike. Since 2008, she has served as executive assistant to Mark-Taylor’s leadership team, where she has assisted various departments, including sales, training, marketing, and public relations, with ongoing projects and new initiatives. Jennie Raye oversees financial and weekly reports, and serves as the voice of the corporate headquarters with regard to program rollouts and events. She facilitates the corporate apparel program to ensure everyone on staff is professionally outfitted.Benson attended Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. |

 | | KIM ATKINSON, Vice President of Marketing and PR Kim Atkinson joined Mark-Taylor in 2006 to head up marketing and public relations, bringing more than 20 years of marketing communications experience to the team. Kim's chief responsibility is to increase awareness of the Mark-Taylor brand by generating buzz, traffic and leads for each community. She is the visionary behind the company's signature company-wide leasing campaigns, which are unique to the multifamily industry. Mark-Taylor has been recognized by the NAHB, earning finalist awards for the annual Summer of Love campaign and the company website, mark-taylor.com. Under Kim's leadership, the advertising industry has also honored Mark-Taylor for various campaigns with local and regional Addy awards, and American Marketing Association Spectrum Awards.

 | | JESSICA RIGGS, Director of Sales and Training With 12 years in the multifamily industry, Jessica Riggs is on the pulse of what’s happening in the marketplace and at Mark-Taylor, as her role has evolved within the company. As Director of Sales and Training she creates, schedules and facilitates Mark-Taylor’s in-house training and performance programs. She also oversees all quarterly sales competitions, executes programs that enhance work flow and plays a significant role in recruitment events and evaluation. Jessica is inspired by what she sees happening at Mark-Taylor, and continually strives to create programs that make Mark-Taylor a best-in-class workplace and a preferred employer. Like many at Mark-Taylor, she has grown within the company through hard work, dedication and commitment, the company’s core values. She began her career with Mark-Taylor in 2008 as an Administrative Assistant, quickly ascending to Assistant to the Director of Sales and Training, a position in which she handled companywide trainings and performance databases. Jessica takes tremendous pride in seeing her colleagues also grow their careers at Mark-Taylor, enhancing the company’s reputation in the community and the multifamily industry.  | | TRACY MENDOZA, Director of Management Support As Director of Management Support, Tracy Mendoza implements and communicates company programs, provides additional support to on-site teams, motivates, leads, mentors, assures consistency and improves performance. She bridges the gap between asset management, training and property managers to ensure each on-site team member has the right tools to be more effective, productive and fulfilled. Tracy assists in transitioning new communities into Mark-Taylor as well as playing a role in the setup of new Mark-Taylor lease-up projects. She works closely with both asset managers and the Director of Service Support to assess owner, property, and team objectives. Ultimately, Tracy helps ensure MTR standards ARE the highest in the industry. Tracy’s positive energy, enthusiasm, and ability to lead helped propel her rapid ascent to Assistant Manager and Community Manager, after beginning her career as a leasing agent with Mark-Taylor in 1999. She takes immense pride in her ability to recruit and mentor new professionals, having directly supervised 25-plus leasing consultants whom she hired, trained, and grew within the company. As a well-respected leader within the company, Tracy facilitates our esteemed L.E.A.D.E.R.S program, enhancing and maintaining our culture and core values of Passion, Accountability, and Consistency. Beyond the internal respect that Tracy has earned through her tenacious attitude and leadership role, she has achieved significant accolades within the industry and among Mark-Taylor’s own recognition programs, including AMA Assistant Manager of the Year 2003 (finalist), AMA Manager of the Year 2007 (nominee), AMA Manager of the Year 2011 (nominee), AMA San Palmas Team and Community of the Year 2001, AMA San Cervantes Team and Community of the Year 2010, MTR Manager of the Year 2006 and MTR Award of the Year 2010. A graduate of Central Michigan University, Tracy has her Arizona state real estate license, is NALP- and CAM-certified, and just last year began teaching NALP courses through the AMA. |

 | | MELISSA DRAKE, Residential Controller Melissa Drake joined Mark-Taylor in 2002 and offers 15 years of industry experience to Mark-Taylor clients. She is responsible for financial oversight of Mark-Taylor's entire property management portfolio. While the majority of Melissa's experience is in the numbers field, she developed her passion for the multifamily industry by working at the property level at the beginning of her career. That was when she made the decision to marry her love for the industry with her financial savvy and put her accounting education to use at Mark-Taylor. And we're glad she did. As Controller, Melissa works with a talented group of Mark-Taylor associates, implementing accounting systems to maintain the fiscal integrity of Mark-Taylor's entire portfolio of communities. She oversees hiring, supervising/training, develops accounting policies and procedures and the acquisition and disposition of properties. Melissa graduated from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor of science in accounting. |
