Mark-Taylor Residential Expands Into Pacific Northwest
Arizona-based apartment management firm adds properties in Seattle, Vancouver, and Portland to its portfolio.
Scottsdale, Ariz.—While other companies are contracting, Mark-Taylor Residential is growing, expanding into the Pacific Northwest.
This fall, the Arizona-based firm added more than 1,100 apartments at nine properties in suburban Seattle, Wash., Vancouver, Wash., and Portland, Ore., to its management portfolio, increasing its total units under management to nearly 12,000.
“We are so excited at the chance to grow our company in this way,” said Dale Phillips, president of Mark-Taylor Residential. “Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver are all wonderful cities, and we look forward to providing renters with great places to live when they are looking for their next apartment.”
In Phoenix, Mark-Taylor is known for delivering attentive customer service and creating a sense of community through online events such as tailgates and pool parties. The firm plans to do the same at its Pacific Northwest properties.
“We believe in providing more than just an apartment,” said Kim Atkinson, Mark-Taylor’s director of marketing and public relations. “We want our residents to meet their neighbors, enjoy their clubhouse or pool, and love where they live. Events give everyone a chance to connect and feel at home.”
The nine Pacific Northwest properties now under management by Mark-Taylor include:
- Eight Town Center in Vancouver, Wash.
- Golfside Village in Vancouver, Wash.
- Hidden River Townhomes in Kirkland, Wash.
- Hunter’s Run in Kirkland, Wash.
- Shadow Wood Townhomes in Kirkland, Wash.
- The Gables at Mountain Park in Lake Oswego, Ore.
- Jackson School Village in Hillsboro, Ore.
- Richland Terrace in Beaverton, Ore.
- Richmond Park in Beaverton, Ore.
“We know the economy is difficult,” Phillips said, “but we are happy to say that we have been hiring, and we look forward to a bright 2010 in the Pacific Northwest.”
